Summer voices heard in the garden today...
This morning 2 Swallows flew in through the patio window & circled the room chirping at me – they’ve popped in for the past 2-3 summers when they return, almost a "hello, we're back!”
2 pairs wheeling around the garden after insects this afternoon – so lovely to see them again.
This afternoon I recorded this song in our garden. I doubt I'm the first to hear one for 2019 but it's my first Cuckoo of the year! I’ve never heard one so close - it was on the edge of my garden, bordering the field - or it call for so long. It was really going for it..
