This young hedgehog was one of two that came through our yard late one morning, having been disturbed. They can be unwell if out in the day, so it’s worth keeping an eye on them if you do see them, they may need help.
The colours of the vegetation in this shot serve as a reminder to check bonfires & leaf piles for hibernating Hedgehogs in the autumn and winter (most will move nests at least once during their hibernation).
