Dunnock juvenile. This youngster was perched on my kitchen windowsill. It had been raining, as you can see from the water drops still on its feathers. I was able to carefully creep fairly close and, using Macro, zoom through the window to focus on the bird.
The plumage of these young birds only lacks the grey head feathers of the adult, being otherwise very similar.
