The first time I saw a Siskin, I thought someone had lost a canary because it was so bright a yellow! Part of the Finch family, these small yellow birds love their Niger seed… This image is one of my ‘painterly birds’ series – taken on the very edge of my zoom, before the image degrades, it has more of a painterly feel.
