Spotted from my workroom window as the sun shone through their petals, the Snake’s Head Fritillary popped up as a surprise one morning.
Appearing amongst the speedwell, the rich blue of which contrasts well against the red and white chequered petals. The blooms are transitory, only around for a day or so.
