One of my 'painterly bird' series [achieved with my camera rather than editing software]. At the extent of my zoom, before the images degrades, is a point where the image becomes almost painterly. This young siskin was perched on the autumn shrub that is a firm favourite with my feathered garden visitors. The image I saw was built of primary colours in a pleasing subtlety.
